Sometimes, the intern must travel to the place where the sporting event is hosted, including weekends and holidays, but on Madeira Island. In the event of travelling, it will be occasional and local, but at the trainee's responsibility.Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 17:30 p.m. (with 1h for lunch)and specific weekends, according to the schedule of sports events and other activities. It is important to emphasize that the schedule is flexible, and the supervisor is open to adjustments.

YesDescription of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):
1. Processing scientific data (quantitative and qualitative data) on volunteering and the tourism and social impacts of sporting events;
2. Preparation of two articles for submission to scientific journals in the area of sports tourism and social sustainability;
3. Participate in organising one/two local sporting events, helping with the coordination of volunteers and human resources.
4. To interview and evaluate the experiences of foreigners residing in Madeira that are linked to the usual physical activities of the Madeiran people.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in any field; master’s degree in sports management (preferred), or another education related to tourism, sports and sustainability.
2. Skills in scientific research methodology and data processing in SPSS (preferred).
3. Experience and knowledge in volunteer management and event organization (preferred)
