Monday to friday- Daytime schedule: between 9:00 and 17:00 with a one-hour lunch break between 13:00 and 14:00.

Description of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):

The intern will support institutional activities under the supervision of the professional team. Responsibilities may include:

Assist in patient assessment (mobility, strength, posture).
Support therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation sessions.
Help apply therapeutic modalities (heat, cold, electrotherapy, massage).
Assist with gait training, balance exercises, and mobility support.
Guide patients in safe movement and functional activities.
Provide basic patient education on posture and injury prevention.
Collaborate with the physiotherapy team and document progress.
• Assisting with basic administrative tasks related to resident documentation, participation records, and institutional procedures.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to promote a respectful, inclusive, safe, and socially supportive environment.

Profile of the Trainee

Qualifications

Applications are open to professionals with a minimum of Level VI qualification in Physiotherapy.

• Supervision and guidance provided by Casa de Saúde Câmara Pestana’s professional staff.

Personal and Social Skills

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
• Motivation to learn and interest in psychology, gerontology, or related fields.
• Strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and patience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different situations and work as part of a team.
• Organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
• No previous experience is required, though it is considered an asset.

Language Skills

Accepted languages: Candidates who speak and understand: Portuguese, Spanish, English, or French are welcome, provided they can communicate effectively with staff and residents.

Information Technology (IT) Skills

Not required.

Other Skills

Ability to communicate with clarity, empathy, and respect in any of the accepted languages is essential.
