Si vous souhaitez améliorer ou apprendre une des deux langues officielles de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, vous pouvez bénéficier d'un remboursement de 200 euros maximum pour suivre des cours de français ou de néerlandais. Les cours de langues doivent être suivis parallèlement au stage et non avant.

If you are interested in improving or learning one of the two official languages of the Brussels-Capital Region, you can benefit of a maximum reimbursement of 200 euros for French or Dutch language courses. Language courses must be taken in parallel with the internship and not before.

Description of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):

As a Science Communication Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment at the intersection of science, media, and policy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to EU-funded research and innovation projects (e.g. Horizon Europe)
• Support the development of science communication and dissemination strategies
• Create digital content such as infographics, blog posts, press releases and videos script
• Manage social media channels and community engagement
• Assist in organizing conferences, webinars, and stakeholder events
• Participate in grant writing and project reporting activities
• Engage with policymakers, researchers, and the public through outreach actions
• Learn to navigate the science-policy-media interface with guidance from senior team members

Profile of the Trainee

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who:
• have a Master’s program in science communication, life sciences, or a related field
• Are available full-time for a period of 6 months
• Have excellent writing and communication skills in English
• Are creative, curious, and eager to simplify complex scientific topics
• Show interest in EU research projects, science policy, and public engagement
• Thrive in a collaborative and multicultural working environment
