Considerations

– Working hours : Working hours in Belgium may not exceed 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
– Teleworking: You can work from your home in Brussels up to two 2 days a week if you wish and if your employer authorises it.
– Teleworking from abroad: You are not permitted to work from abroad.

Is linguistic training mandatory?

If you wish to perfect or learn either of the two official languages of the Brussels-Capital Region, you may receive a refund of up to €200 (upon submission of the original invoices) for attending French or Dutch classes. The language courses take place during and not prior to the corporate internship. Upon your arrival, you will be provided with a list of useful links to find the available language training centres.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to attend English or any other language classes, we shall not be liable to pay for the same. Nevertheless, we will provide you with the information about the available courses.

The Eurodyssey correspondents of the Brussels-Capital Region will organize cultural and social activities at different times throughout the year. The trainee will have the opportunity to uncover the cultural heritage of our Region.

  • You are given a monthly scholarship of €500. You will also receive €40 for each month worked (i.e. €240 for a total duration of 6 months) at the end of the internship. In order to give you a sense of responsibility and make you aware of the duties in the professional world, these €240 will be given only on the double condition that you submit your internship report (within two weeks after the internship is over) and that the accommodation used by you for 6 months is not damaged.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
QUALIFICATION: You must have a qualification in the field of the traineeship.

APPLICATION FILE: Your application file must be forwarded to us by your region of origin.

RESIDENCE: You must be a resident of one of the regions participating in the Eurodyssey program.

LENGTH OF RESIDENCE: Any non-Belgian European national resident in Belgium for more than 3 months will not be considered eligible. After 3 months on Belgian soil, European nationals are required to register with their municipality of residence.
