As an intern in a young and fast-growing startup, you will follow the food production process from start to finish. Your main responsibilities will include:
Fish Processing & Smoking: Handling and processing alpine trout, ensuring high-quality standards for our gourmet products.
Quality Control: Monitoring the production line and maintaining food safety standards.
Laboratory Management: Taking care of the daily operations and cleanliness of the food laboratory.
Logistics: Preparing and packaging orders for customer shipments.
Customer Service: Assisting customers and managing sales at the company’s retail shop.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
No specific previous experience in the fish sector is strictly required, as this is an orientation and educational summer internship.
Interest in the food production industry and artisanal gourmet products is highly valued.
Personal and Social Skills
Strong team spirit and adaptability to work in a dynamic, youthful startup environment.
Precision, reliability, and attention to detail, especially regarding hygiene and food safety.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer service and retail sales.
Social Media: Basic knowledge or interest in managing business social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) to help promote the brand and the shop's products.
Language Skills
Italian: Good conversational level (essential for daily laboratory teamwork and interacting with local retail customers).
English: Basic to intermediate knowledge is a plus.
Information Technology (IT) Skills
