Any other general considerations

Before you arrive in the Aosta Valley, a representative from the cooperative **L’Esprit à l’Envers** will contact you. This cooperative has been appointed by the Region to welcome trainees. They will be your main point of contact, providing assistance and mentorship throughout your traineeship. They’ll also help with any necessary bureaucratic procedures, arrange your accommodation, and organize your Italian language course and all cultural and recreational activities.
________________________________________
The Eurodyssée trainee status does not grant the right to periods of leave or holidays. Therefore, in cases of unjustified absence, the Aosta Valley Autonomous Region may terminate the traineeship, immediately informing the sending Region.
The allowance is paid in full for 100% participation in the traineeship, calculated on a monthly basis, as stipulated in the Training Project, or in cases of justified absence. If participation falls below the required percentage or if there are unjustified absences, the trainee will receive an allowance proportionate to the actual duration of their participation.

Justified Absences
The following absences are considered justified and will count towards the monthly attendance percentage:
• Illness, injury, maternity leave, or high-risk maternity leave, provided they do not lead to a termination of the traineeship (i.e., they are 30 calendar days or less).
• Company closure.
• Compensatory rest, recognized public holidays, and the Patron Saint’s Day.
Additionally, absences of up to 10 working days over the entire traineeship period are considered justified, provided they are agreed upon by the trainee, the host organization, and the Esprit a l’Envers. Beyond this limit, deductions will be made to the traineeship allowance proportional to the absences. The regional administration reserves the right to grant exceptions to these limits upon a duly motivated request for authorization from the trainee, submitted through the Esprit a l’Envers.

Unjustified Absences and Reporting
Absences not falling under the categories listed above are considered unjustified absences. In any case, the trainee is obligated to inform the Esprit a l’Envers of any absence from the traineeship.

Traineeship Interruption
If the traineeship is interrupted either by the trainee or the company, the trainee will receive an allowance proportionate to the number of days completed, calculated according to the terms outlined above. In all cases, attendance must be duly documented in the relevant registers.

________________________________________

Please ensure you pack clothing appropriate for the season during which your traineeship will take place. We also recommend bringing sportswear and trekking shoes so you can participate in outdoor activities.
