The trainee will support the communication strategy of the Master in Interactive Media Design and associated research projects, with a focus on social media and web presence. Main tasks include:
Design, plan and implement social media campaigns to promote the Master program, student work, and research outputs.
Create, edit and publish engaging content (text, images, short videos, stories, carousels) for
platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and others relevant to the target audience.
Update and maintain the Master program website and research project pages, ensuring
accurate, up-to-date information (course descriptions, admission information, news, events,project outcomes).
Monitor and regularly update online profiles and directories related to the program and research projects (institutional pages, external platforms, project websites).
Collaborate with faculty and students to collect content (interviews, project highlights, behind-the-scenes material) and transform it into accessible communication pieces.
Schedule posts, manage publication calendars and ensure consistency of visual identity and tone across channels.
Track and analyse basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, click-throughs) and propose improvements to increase visibility and interaction.
Support the documentation and dissemination of events (talks, exhibitions, workshops) through live coverage and post-event summaries.
Contribute to the development of internal guidelines for digital communication, including templates and best practices for future use.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or enrolled in/completed Master's studies in Communication, Multimedia, Interactive Media, Design,
Marketing, Journalism or related fields.
Strong interest in social media, digital communication and visual storytelling.
Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Figma or similar).
Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar) is an
advantage.
Previous experience managing social media accounts (personal, academic or organizational) is valued but not mandatory.

Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Good communication skills and ability to adapt messages to different audiences.
Capacity to work independently while collaborating effectively with academic and
administrative staff.
Sense of responsibility, attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Language Skills
English: B2–C1 level (good written and spoken communication).
Portuguese: B1–B2 level (desirable, not mandatory; useful for interacting with local
stakeholders).
Information Technology (IT) Skills
Confident user of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.). Basic skills in graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or similar).
Basic familiarity with content management systems for websites (e.g., WordPress or similar).
General digital literacy: email, office tools, cloud storage, collaborative platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Microsoft 365).
Other Skills
Interest in higher education, research communication and promotion of scientific and artistic projects.
Sensitivity to visual identity and branding in academic contexts.

The trainee will be integrated into the team of the Master in Interactive Media Design
and related research projects, with supervision and regular feedback.
