The position is full-time (Mon-Fri, approx. 30hrs per week) and based at the JMI Head Office in Brussels, Belgium (Square Eugene Plasky 92-94).Generally, interns work between 10:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Exceptions might arise in the case of events or if otherwise agreed.

💡 The JMI Internship Programme
We offer a 6 months internship at our Head Office in Brussels, where interns become part of a small but dynamic international team working across projects, events, communications, digital platforms and network coordination. Interns work side-by-side with JMI staff on real, international projects, gaining practical experience in:
- cultural and youth project management
- international cooperation
- communication and digital engagement
- event organisation
- working within a European NGO and funding framework
By the end of the internship, you will have developed concrete professional skills, a strong understanding of how international cultural organisations operate, and a valuable professional network across Europe and beyond.
For 2026, we are particularly looking for an intern with an interest or background in one (or more) of the following areas:
💰 Finance & Administration - Work alongside JMI’s Financial Manager to support:
- budgets and financial tracking
- reporting for EU-funded projects
- invoices, payments and internal administration
Perfect for students of finance, economics, administration or project management.
💻 Web & Digital Development - Support the maintenance, update and creation of programme websites and digital platforms, including:
- Imagine, YAM, Ethno, Mubazar and other JMI programmes
- content updates, basic development and structure
Great for students of web development, digital media or IT.
📱 Social Media & TikTok - Help grow JMI’s digital presence, especially on TikTok, through:
- content creation
- storytelling around young musicians and projects
- increasing reach and engagement
Ideal for young professionals with a background in communication, media, marketing, or digital culture.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Relevant education or training (cultural management, communications, finance, digital media, IT, etc.)
- Very good English (ideally at least C1, written & spoken)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Additional assets (not required):
- French or Spanish
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Web or video editing skills
