We are looking for a Textile Engineer Intern to help NOOSA™ grow together. We are giving you the opportunity to take up an incredible challenge in a young and dynamic environment! It requires motivation, energy only & Fluency in English. The position is based in Brussels.
At NOOSA™, we have the ambition to revolutionize the textile industry by making it circular. Our mission is to reduce textile waste on a global scale by redesigning the textile industry’s global value chain. The first step towards realizing this mission is introducing our bio-based textile fiber and facilitate its collection to recycle it at 100% thanks to our patented technology. Founded in 2019, we have raised 500.000€ in March 2020 and we have won an extra 500.000€ for being the most innovative startup in January 2021.
Your main job will be to assist the R&D team by investigating specific textile application for our spun and multifilament yarns. You will be part of a young start-up environment, having a strong force of proposition and freedom.
- You will help with gathering information regarding yarn properties and specific requirements across the industry.
- You keep an eye on quality control by setting up tests and carrying them out in our textile lab.
- You will work on various tasks with our R&D team, as quality assistant and technical support to our commercial team.
- Find opportunities for improvement in all activities you do, test new initiatives and prove they can work efficiently.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
- You are in your Master’s Degree in Textile Engineering or Textile Material Sciences studies.
- Experience in a laboratory (textile material and/or chemical) is a plus.
- You have interest for the textile industry and are curious to learn everything about it.
- You are adaptable: and you can put yourself in the shoes of a large workwear group but also a carpet manufacturer as well as a niche fashion designer.

Language Skills
As we are an English-speaking office, you must be proficient in English!
Any other language is a plus!

If you masterize MS Office Suite or tools like Odoo, it's a big plus!
But don't worry, we have lots of "HOW TO's" that can teach you too.
