Does the region accept spontaneous candidates
We recommend you apply for a specific traineeship offer.
However, in case of a spontaneous application, our offices may suggest you a suitable position.
Usually (with a few exceptions) our offers do not have a deadline by which you can apply.
Applications are examined as they arrive and sent immediately to the host company so that it can see the candidate’s CV straight away.
Afterwards it is the company’s choice to select the young people all at once or one by one as we send out the CVs.
After sending your application to the host company, you will be contacted to arrange a remote selection interview.
The final decision on the selection of candidates is always taken by the host company, which will notify you of the outcome.
After that, you will be contacted by the correspondents in the host region to support you in preparing the necessary documents to formalise the placement.

PERMISSION: for candidates from European regions, no specific permit is needed to stay in Sardinia.
On the other hand, trainees from non-European regions require a specific entry visa for internships, which is issued by the Italian embassies abroad.
ITALIAN COURSE: during the first month of your stay in Sardinia, before the beginning of the traineeship you will attend the Italian course. Sometimes, due to organisational requirements or specific needs of the host company, it may happen that you have to attend the Italian course at the same time as the traineeship itself.

No
Are any other financial supports offered?
The internship allowance will be paid during the month following the one completed.
This means that it is very important that the trainee can have his/her own pocket money to be able to cover the expenses for almost the first two months of stay.
In fact, except for specific cases in which both the internship and the Italian course take place from the first month, during the first month of stay only the Italian course is attended and the internship begins during the second month of stay in Sardinia. Therefore, the internship allowance is paid at the beginning of the third month of stay.
To be entitled to payment of the monthly internship allowance, it is necessary to work at least 70% of the expected monthly. hours.

Is accommodation provided by the region?
ACCOMMODATION: The first month accommodation will be provided free of charge.
For the following months of the placement, you will be helped to find suitable accommodation.
The cost of a single room in Sardinia varies greatly depending on the season and location, around 350 euros for a single room in a shared flat. For an entire flat the costs are higher and can vary between 500 euro and 1000 euro.

Any other general considerations
It is very important that the trainee brings with him/her some necessary pocket money for at least the first two months.
The first month’s accommodation is free but the internship allowance is paid during the following month of internship (i.e. during the second month of internship). If during the first month you only attended the Italian course and did not follow the internship (as normally expected) this means that the first internship allowance will be paid during the third month of your stay in Sardinia.
