Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner;
Presenting menus and providing information about food and beverages;
Taking orders and ensuring accurate table or bar service;
Serving food and drinks according to established standards;
Preparing simple beverages or assisting the bartender (bar area);
Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service;
Following food hygiene and safety regulations, keeping tables, bar areas, and utensils clean and organized;
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment;
Setting up the dining area before service;
Replenishing stock of beverages, supplies, and materials;
Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events or special services;
Supporting the kitchen team when necessary;
Presenting bills and processing payments with supervision;
Monitoring consumption and reporting any issues;
Following internal procedures for billing and cash handling.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
Formation in the service or bar area, with the minimum obligatory level of education completed - Preferred but no mandatory.
Personal and Social Skills
Customer Service oriented, with capacity to deal with difficult clients effectively.
Professional appearance and attitude;
Communicative and empathetic towards clients and colleagues;
Organized, with good time management skills (Fundamental during busy shifts);
Resilient and capable of concluding tasks within a sort window of time;
Result oriented, focused on service and resource optimization;
Capacity to adapt to new technologies and processes with ease.
Language Skills
Able to understand and communicate in English and preferably, also able to understand a bit of Portuguese.
Information Technology (IT) Skills
Proficiency in using various computer tools and other systems used for invoicing.
Basic knowledge of Office applications.
Other Skills
Fluency in other languages other than English or Portuguese (preferred);
Leadership and team supervision abilities (not mandatory);
