From 9:00 to 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break, Monday to Friday. Weekends are free unless there are important tours requiring assistance. In that case, the intern will be compensated with time off during the week. The workplace will be at our physical store in the city centre of Horta.

Our Island is a dynamic and growing tourism company based on the beautiful island of Faial, in the Azores. We are dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for our clients through a variety of tours and services that showcase the stunning landscapes and culture of our island. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive intern to join our team and support the operations of our business.

As an intern at Our Island, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the tourism industry while living on one of the most beautiful islands in the Azores. You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations and assist in providing excellent service to our guests, all while immersing yourself in the authentic island lifestyle.

If you’re a nature lover who enjoys activities like exploring the outdoors, gardening and embracing the island’s natural beauty, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The tasks and responsibilities for this internship will include:

- Managing reservations and assisting with client bookings
- Assisting with sales at our physical store, providing information about our tours and services to potential customers
- Supporting the operations team with daily tasks, such as delivering picnics for tours in various areas of the island
- Helping with vehicle cleaning and maintenance for our tour vehicles
- Assisting in the maintenance of our banana plantation located on the island of Pico (30 minutes from Faial), which is part of one of our tours
- Driving when necessary to take the vehicles to the mechanic's workshop, for cleaning, or to deliver anything needed to the Guides during their tours

As tarefas e responsabilidades deste estágio incluirão:

- Gestão de reservas e apoio nas reservas de clientes
- Apoio nas vendas na nossa loja física, fornecendo informações sobre os nossos tours e serviços aos potenciais clientes
- Apoio à equipa de operações com tarefas diárias, como a entrega de piqueniques para os tours, em várias zonas da ilha
- Apoio na limpeza e manutenção dos veículos dos tours
- Ajudar na manutenção do nosso bananal localizado na ilha do Pico (a 30 minutos do Faial), que faz parte de um dos nossos tours
- Conduzir quando for necessário ir com as viaturas à oficina ou à limpeza ou entregar algo necessário aos Guias durante os seus tours
