In this traineeship the trainee will isolate and grow marine phytoplankton and evaluate their interference in the production of inflammatory mediators. The trainee will plan and perform biological chemistry - related laboratorial methodologies, namely instrumental microanalysis techniques. Critical scientific thinking about the obtained results and statistical approach will be encouraged.

Neste estágio o estagiário irá isolar e cultivar fitoplâncton marinho e avaliar a sua interferência na produção de mediadores inflamatórios. O estagiário irá planear e executar metodologias laboratoriais relacionadas com a química biológica, nomeadamente técnicas de microanálise instrumental. Será incentivado o pensamento crítico científico sobre os resultados obtidos e a abordagem estatística.
