Description of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):

Throughout much of the 1960s and 1970s, local researchers such as Pedro de Merelim and João Afonso collaborated with the local press, writing articles dedicated to the Angra Museum, many of them relating to the museum's acquisitions.
This information, which is not always included in the dossier for each piece and is largely unknown, contributes substantially to our knowledge of details such as provenance, approximate date of acquisition, and functional and/or aesthetic interpretations of some pieces.

Ao longo de boa parte das décadas de 1960 e 1970 investigadores locais como Pedro de Merelim e João Afonso colaboraram na imprensa local com textos dedicados ao Museu de Angra, muitos deles relativos à incorporação de bens que o museu ia fazendo.
Essa informação, que nem sempre consta do dossier de cada peça e que é desconhecida, contribui, substancialmente, para conhecer dados como a proveniência, a data aproximada de incorporação ou interpretações funcionais e/ou estéticas sobre algumas peças.


1. Consult local newspapers from 1960 and 1970 and highlight all texts related to the Angra Museum and its collection;
2. Make reproductions of the highlighted texts;
3. Identify the items mentioned through the inventory programme and assign them the corresponding inventory number;
4. Make the information available to UG managers and help enter this data into the inventory programme;
5. Produce a small brochure with the collected texts.

1º Consultando os jornais locais de 1960 e 1970, sinalizar todos os textos relativos ao Museu de Angra e ao seu acervo;
2º Fazer reproduções dos textos sinalizados;
3º Identificar as peças mencionadas através do programa de inventário e atribuir-lhes o número de inventário correspondente;
4º Disponibilizar a informação aos gestores de UG e ajudar a inserir esses dados no programa de inventário;
5º Executar uma pequena brochura com os textos reunidos.
