NoDescription of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):
The trainee will collaborate on tasks related to science communication and conservation of the conservation of deep-sea elasmobranchs in the Azores. The tasks to be carried out during the internship will be (1) promoting social media pages related to deep-sea sharks in the Azores (e.g. https://www.facebook.com/SosTubaProf) (2) collecting images on board different types of vessels during at-sea campaigns dedicated to deep-sea sharks (3) supporting the design and creation of dissemination supports and deep-water shark guides, (4) helping to analyze scientific data for ongoing projects.
O estagiário irá colaborar nas tarefas relacionadas com a comunicação da ciência e a conservação de elasmobrânquios de profundidade dos Açores. As tarefas a realizar durante o estágio serão (1) dinamização das páginas de redes sociais relacionadas com os tubarões de profundidade dos Açores (ex. https://www.facebook.com/SosTubaProf) (2) recolha de imagens a bordo de vários tipos de embarcações durante as campanhas de mar dedicadas aos tubarões de profundidade (3) apoio no design e criação de manuais de divulgação e identificação de espécies (4) ajuda na análise de dados científicos de projetos a decorrer.

Master in Marine Biology, Marine sciences or similar
Mestrado Biologia Marinha, Ciências do Mar ou área similar

Willingness to participate in at-sea fieldwork and work with scientists and fishers. Ability to work independently and as a part of the team. Creativity and dynamism.
