Description of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):

The trainee will join the Paleolimnology group, working on the past environmental reconstruction of Azorean lakes using the paleolimnology methods. The trainee will collect a sediment lake record on the field. Then, in the laboratory, the trainee will process the samples and proceed to identify fossil remains. The statistical analysis of the results obtained will be part of the work to be developed by the trainee.
This work will have a component of laboratory work (50%), data insertion and treatment (20%), and fieldwork (30%);

O estagiário irá juntar-se ao grupo de Paleolimnologia, trabalhando na reconstrução ambiental passada dos lagos açorianos utilizando os métodos da paleolimnologia. O estagiário recolherá um registo de sedimentos dos lagos no campo. Em seguida, no laboratório, o estagiário processará as amostras e procederá à identificação dos restos fósseis. A análise estatística dos resultados obtidos será parte do trabalho a ser desenvolvido pelo estagiário.
Este trabalhos terão uma componente de trabalho de laboratório (50%), inserção e tratamento de dados (20%), e trabalho de campo (30%).
