Xanascat Youth HostelHow to get there
By plane: From Barcelona-El Prat Airport, you can take the Aerobús (A1 or A2) towards ‘Plaça Catalunya’. From there, take bus 22 towards El Carmel to the stop Pg Mare de Déu del Coll – Cartago, right in front of the hostel.
By train: From Sants Estació, you can take the metro (green line; L3) to Vallcarca, exit via the elevator on Av. República Argentina. Then, take bus line 22 towards ‘El Carmel’ at stop 2800 Av. República Argentina-Vallcarca to stop 848 Pg Mare de Déu del Coll, in front of the hostel.
Other buses: After 22:50, bus 22 is replaced by the night bus N-5.
Rooms and meals At the hostel, you will share a room with other participants of the Eurodyssey program. You will have access to clean sheets and towels every week. Laundry for your personal clothes is not covered by the program.
During your stay at the hostel, breakfast (8:00 – 9:00), lunch (13:00 – 14:00), and dinner (19:00 – 20:30) are included. You must inform us before arrival if you require a special diet.

Customer service and tourist information for national and international visitors; Front desk management and visitor assistance; Support in the logistics of tourist and nautical activities (coordination with providers, materials prep); Data entry and updates in the reservation system and internal database; Preparation of informative materials and client documentation; Collaboration in managing bookings and participant attendance; Support in social media communication and digital marketing; Providing tourist information about La Ràpita and the Ebro Delta.
Profile of the Trainee
Qualifications
Basic studies in Tourism, Business Administration, Office Management or related; basic knowledge of office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Personal and Social Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team; proactive, flexible and responsible; customer‑oriented attitude; interest in culture, nature and sustainable tourism; ability to organize and handle daily tasks; positive and friendly attitude.
Language Skills
Spanish (B1), French (B1), English (A2 basic)
Information Technology (IT) Skills
Basic command of office software (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to manage and update databases; basic digital communication/social media skills.
Other Skills
Knowledge or interest in sustainable tourism and local culture; willingness to assist in tourist information and support the promotion of the territory; flexibility for occasional events or busy seasons. Accommodation can be offered within walking distance of the workplace.
Other Skills
The trainee will be working in a small multidisciplinary team at Estació Nàutica de la Ràpita, in a scenic environment in the Ebro Delta. Assistance can be provided to find accommodation nearby or accessible by public transport or bicycle. The position offers exposure to a responsible sustainable-tourism model and practical experience in customer service, reservations and tourist management.
