How to get there
By plane: From Barcelona-El Prat Airport, you can take the Aerobús (A1 or A2) towards ‘Plaça Catalunya’. From there, take bus 22 towards El Carmel to the stop Pg Mare de Déu del Coll – Cartago, right in front of the hostel.
By train: From Sants Estació, you can take the metro (green line; L3) to Vallcarca, exit via the elevator on Av. República Argentina. Then, take bus line 22 towards ‘El Carmel’ at stop 2800 Av. República Argentina-Vallcarca to stop 848 Pg Mare de Déu del Coll, in front of the hostel.

Other buses: After 22:50, bus 22 is replaced by the night bus N-5.
Rooms and meals At the hostel, you will share a room with other participants of the Eurodyssey program. You will have access to clean sheets and towels every week. Laundry for your personal clothes is not covered by the program.

During your stay at the hostel, breakfast (8:00 – 9:00), lunch (13:00 – 14:00), and dinner (19:00 – 20:30) are included. You must inform us before arrival if you require a special diet.

Description of the tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s):

Front Office department is responsible for every guest’s first impression when walking through the doors of Hotel Indigo Barcelona. Therefore as a Front desk agent, you will develop excellent customer service and hospitality skills through your internship. Also, you will be working with our experienced Front Desk Agents learning how to do check in/check out of guests, dealing with guest requests, informing about room rates, promotions, concierge tasks and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services following IHG procedures and standards. At the end of you internship, your knowledge of standards and requirements of a Hotel, and specially an IHG Hotel, will be fully completed, and you will have developed a solid job experience that will allow you to keep growing within the Front Desk department.
