Trainees will either receive a grant or be paid a salary depending on how the Eurodyssée programme is run in the Region concerned.
Bearing in mind the time the payment comes through, in some cases, trainees are advised to take enough money with them to cover their needs during the first month of the traineeship.
An insurance policy covering personal accident, civil liability, and health and repatriation is taken out and financed for each trainee by the Eurodyssée general secretariat and the AER.

Trainees who hold the European Health Insurance Card can access health care services in the hosting region during their stay abroad.
As for the social security system, the coverage will depend on the traineeship regulation in the Hosting Region (see Regions traineeship conditions).
Important (if applicable): before leaving to work abroad, it is up to each trainee to obtain information from their home Region regarding the procedure for reintegrating the social security scheme at the end of his/her work placement.
